Meet Gigi Hadid's New Stylist: Mimi Cuttrell

She may not be a household name just yet, but Mimi Cuttrell's recent big break as Gigi Hadid's (un?)official new stylist has stirred up all the buzz in the Fashion industry lately. Taking the place of the infamous stylist Monica Rose, this is Mimi's biggest and greatest styling gig yet! I am definitely excited to follow her styling projects with Gigi, as well as her own career. Here is what I've found about Mimi:
1. She and Gigi are Actually Friends
As I can tell from my top-notch Instagram and Google stalking sessions, Mimi and Gigi were actually friends in the same social circle in NYC before Mimi took the reigns of styling the supermodel earlier this Spring. Mimi and Gigi seem to collaborate on lots of Gigi's latest looks, from events to street style, which us Gigi-style stalkers are lalaloving. They both have used the hashtag "#styledbyMiGi" in their Instagram posts of Gigi's headline-worthy outfits.
2. Girl Can STYLE!
While Mimi's personal style seems to be a branch of boho-rocker-chic, she can style eye-catching and buzz worthy outfits! Mimi's debut as Gigi's stylist accompanied Gigi's own return to the spotlight, as she had been keeping a low profile for months. Honestly, Mimi's style expertise has given Gigi's return to the spotlight that added kick of new flavor that I'm currently obsessed with!

3. She & Gigi have Loads In Common
Raised in Santa Barbara, just like Gigi, Mimi is a California beach girl who basically lives in the cutest bikinis when not killing the street style scene in NYC. She attended UCSB where she was on the University's volleyball team (ANOTHER thing she has in common with Gigi...I think I'm starting to get why they work so well together!)

5. She Loves Her Dog
This SoCal-raised & NYC based stylist is obsessed with pups, as referenced in her Instagram account bio: "i'm a stylist & #idratherbewithmydog". Loves it! Her dog's name is Mazie and that makes me even more obsessed with whatever geniuses is going on in Mimi's mind. Mimi seems like a super down-to-earth beauty who has an amazing knack at styling and loving her dog more than you ;). |

6. She Has Ties to Hawaii
The only reason I personally know this is that she and I have a mutual friend in common, Jenah Yamamoto. Mimi travels to the Islands multiple times a year and seems to share a unique bond with her sister and father in regards to Hawaii. Her and Gigi share another quality which is that both are apart of very tight-knit and supportive families. Mimi and her family are known in the North Shore (Oahu, Hawaii) community as fun and sun loving surfers with the best personalities.
